Our Story
AFRIDON was founded in response to a clear and recurring reality: while many Nigerian researchers and academics are disadvantaged due to paucity of research funding and infrastructural deficit within the universities, which has led to lack of access to high-impact peer-reviewed literature, this has resulted in struggle and obvious inability to compete favourably within the global research ecosystem, not because they lack ability or ambition, but because in addition to the obvious inherent challenges, they lack structured guidance, credible academic support, and informed direction.
What began as focused support for students navigating final-year projects and postgraduate research developed into a broader platform for academic advancement. As more people experienced the value of clear guidance, better positioning, and ethically grounded support, AFRIDON’s mission expanded beyond research mentorship alone.
Today, AFRIDON serves as a wider academic, research, and career mentorship platform. We support individuals seeking to strengthen research work, prepare competitive grant applications, refine academic documents, pursue funding and fellowship opportunities, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
